If you’ve been out and about Charlestown on a Wednesday evening lately you
may have noticed a large group of runners striding along the streets. While
seeing runners in Charlestown is not uncommon, it isn’t often that you see a
large group together...until now.
The group is the newly formed Revolutionary Running Club, a social and athletic club based in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The club was founded by two experienced local marathon coaches who realized running can be a lonely sport. Dan Graovac and Kelly Flynn formed the club with the goal of connecting like-minded runners throughout the Greater Boston area who wanted to get more out of their runs while enjoying the social aspects of the sport.

The club hosts a weekly fun run that departs every Wednesday night at 7:00PM from Ironsides Bar & Grill and takes club members past Charlestown’s historic monuments and back to Ironsides for a post run club social. The club also meets on Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM in front of Zume’s Coffee Shop for longer runs along the Charles River.
While there is an annual membership fee of $35 for individuals or $50 for a family, Dan & Kelly invite Ultimate Bootcampers to join them for a Wednesday night run to see if the club is for you. Just let them know you heard about their Charlestown running club through Ultimate Bootcamp.
Membership includes, training schedules, club dri-fit t-shirts, club
socials, organized weekly runs, discounts at local specialty running stores and
so much more. They are confident that once you go out for a club run you will
become a regular attendee on Wednesday nights!
